Sessenheim, France, January 17th 1945 Story : Began in January 1945, in Northern Alsace, the Operation Nordwind quickly marks time. A lot of fierce fights nevertheless take place for the control of the villages on the front line. On January 17th, some airborne troops try to assault Sessenheim. They set foot in the village before being driven out with heavy casualties by an American counter attack.

Scenario rules : Use the tactical rules. The German player sets up first and start first each turn. The battlefield consists of LW (Light woods), CL (Clear), VI (Village), TO (Town), HI (Hills). German Headquarters LW1 CL2 LW3 HI4 TO5 VI6 CL7 LW8 CL9 U.S. Headquarters 1.

Supply Each player receives 20 points at start. Moreover, the German player receives 3 supply dices for the first 3 turns and then 2 supply dices. The U.S. player receives 2 dices from turn 1 to 3 and then 3 turns from turn 4 to 6. Supply points remain hidden during the game.

Special cards Use the tactical rules (Beachhead to Berlin p77 to p86) for choosing the special cards. Special cards : Each player has a 24 special cards deck (2 identical cards max.) of his own choice. Each player draws 1 free card each turn with the possibility of buying only one other card at the cost of 6 supply points). Each player takes randomly 3 special cards in this deck before the game begins.

Victory The German must have 2 units in TO5 at the end of the game to win. Any other result is a U.S. victory.
