Montmartin en Caignes, France, June 11th 1944 Story : The first American Armored Division to land on the French soil is the 2nd A.D., ‘Hell on wheels’, whose advanced elements arrive in the evening of D-Day. The operations begin almost immediately. On June 11th, a patrol of the 101st Airborne and the 41st Infantry Regiment is took to task by heavy machine gun fires. Another platoon then arrives and firing with everything available it succeeds in getting out of this tricky situation the recon platoon.

Scenario rules : Use the tactical rules. The U.S. player sets up first and the German player start first. The battlefield consists of HI (Hills), BO (Bocage), LW (Light woods). German Headquarters HI1 BO2 BO3 BO4 BO5 BO6 U.S. LW7 BO8 LW9 Headquarters 1.

Supply Each player receives 20 points at start. Moreover, the German player receives 3 supply dices each turn. The U.S. player receives 2 dices each turn until the platoon of the 41st Armored Infantry Rgt arrives. He then receives 3 supply dices until the end of the game. Supply points remain hidden during the game.

Special cards Use the tactical rules (Beachhead to Berlin p77 to p86) for choosing the special cards. Special cards : Each player has a 28 special cards deck (2 identical cards max.) of his own choice. Each player draws 1 free card each turn with the possibility of buying only one other card at the cost of 6 supply points). Each player takes randomly 4 special cards in this deck before the game begins.

4. U.S. reinforcements At the beginning of each turn, the U.S. player rolls a die. If the result is lower or equal to the number of the turn (1-2 for turn 2 for example), The platoon of the 41st Armored Infantry Rgt deploys in BO8, LW9.

The intelligence & reco Platoon of the 41st Armored and the platoon from the 507th Parachute Regiment deploy in BO5, BO6 or in the U.S. Headquarters.

German

The elements of the Grenadier-Regiment 912 sets up in HI1, BO2, BO3 and/or in the German Headquarters.

Victory The U.S. player must exit the west edge with 3 of his initial units. Any other result is a German victory.
