Oosterbeck, Holland, September 21th 1944 Story : Following the bloody failure of the 1st Airborne attempts to reach the battalion of Lt-Colonel Frost at the Arnhem bridge, the initiative goes to the German side. The heterogeneous kampfgruppen of the 9.SSPanzerdivision ‘Hohenstauffen’ attack the area defended by the Red Devils. Despite the German superiority, The English morale is still high. To the surrender offers, they answer by singing ‘No, no, no’ on the tune of ‘Lili Marlene’. Therefore, the SS advance sums up to a few hardly conquered blocks.

Scenario rules : Use the tactical rules. The German player sets up first and start first. The battlefield consists of CI (City). German Headquarters CI1 CI2 CI3 CI4 CI5 CI6 CI7 CI8 CI9 English Headquarters 1.

Supply Each player receives 20 points at start. The German player receives 2 supply dices each turn. The English player receives 2 dices the first five turns and only one dice for the last turn. Supply points remain hidden during the game.

Special cards Use the tactical rules (Beachhead to Berlin p77 to p86) for choosing the special cards.

Special cards : Each player has a 24 special cards deck (2 identical cards max.) of his own choice. Each player draws 1 free card each turn with the possibility of buying only one other card at the cost of 6 supply points). Each player takes randomly 3 special cards in this deck before the game begins. SS units The four German veteran units are SS units(+1 Inf, +1 Def).

English morale The high spirit of the English paratroopers gives them all +1 Inf, +1 Def. 6. Others No refits are allowed.

Set up :

English player: CI4 to CI9 German player: German HQ (which can contain more than nine units during the first turn)

Victory The German player must control three of the following zones, CI4, CI5, CI6, CI7, CI8, CI9. Any other result is an English victory.
