Putot, France, June 7th 1944 Story : After having disembarked on D-Day, the Royal Winnepeg Rifles of Canada takes the village of Putot on June 7th. In front of him, The Hitler Jugend Division tries to push the Allies to the sea. On the 8th, it attacks the Canadians, badly entrenched in Putot. Quickly flanked by the violence of the assault, they abandon the village, leaving sixty prisoners in the hands of the Waffen SS.

Scenario rules : Use the tactical rules. The German player sets up first and start first. The battlefield consists of CL (Clear), LW (Light woods), BO (Bocage), TO (Town). German Headquarters BO1 BO2 BO3 CL4 TO5 LW6 LW7 CL8 BO9 Canadian Headquarters 1.

Turns 5 Turns minimum. At the end of the fifth turn, the Canadian player secretly throws a die and secretly notes the result which corresponds to the number of turns left to play. A result of 1 is considered as a 2.

Supply Each player receives 20 points at start. Each turn the German player receives 3 supply dices and the Canadian player 2 supply dices. Supply points remain hidden during the game.

Special cards Use the tactical rules (Beachhead to Berlin p77 to p86) for choosing the special cards. Special cards : Each player has a 28 special cards deck (2 identical cards max.) of his own choice. Each player draws 1 free card each turn with the possibility of buying only one other card at the cost of 6 supply points). Each player takes randomly 4 special cards in this deck before the game begins.

SS Units All German panzer grenadier units are SS units +1 Inf, +1 Arm, +1 Def.

Others No refits are allowed.

Set up and reinforcements : Canadian player:The Royal Winnepeg Rifles of Canada deploys in CL4, TO5, LW6, LW7, CL8, BO9. Four units may start dug in. Canadian reinforcements : The Cameron of Ottawa deploys in CL8 or in the Canadian headquarters if a die roll is lower or egal to the number of the turn starting from turn 3. German player: The II/SS PanzerGrenadier Regiment 26 start in BO1, BO2, BO3. Turn 2 or 3:

The SS Panzer Aufklärung 12 arrives in CL4 on turn 2 OR LW6 on turn 3 (German player’s choice). A new German headquarters is created next to CL4 or LW6 (from where he can attack).

Other German reinforcement : The 2 sdKfz 250 arrive in the German headquarters if a die roll is lower or egal to the number of the turn starting from turn 3.

Victory The German player must control TO5 at the end of the game. Any other result is a Canadian victory.
