Formigny, France, June 7th 1944 Story : Five centuries after having been the theatre of a huge English defeat in the Hundred Years War, the village of Formigny hears again the sounds of war. On the 7th of June, coming from Omaha Beach, the inexperienced U.S. infantry can not take over the village. They even mistake their supporting Shermans for German panzers. Formigny finally falls the next day.

Scenario rules : Use the tactical rules. The German player sets up first and the U.S. player starts first each turn. The battlefield consists of BO (Bocage), VI (Village), TO (Town). U.S. Headquarters BO01 BO02 BO03 VI04 VI05 VI06 VI07 TO08 VI09 German Headquarters 1. Turns 7 Turns 2. Supply Each player receives 20 points at start. Moreover, The U.S. player receives 3 supply dices each turn. The German player receives 2 supply dices each turn. Supply points remain hidden during the game. 3. Special cards Use the tactical rules (Beachhead to Berlin p77 to p86) for choosing the special cards. Special cards : Each player has a 28 special cards deck (2 identical cards max.) of his own choice. Each player draws 1 free card each turn with the possibility of buying only one other card at the cost of 6 supply points). Each player takes randomly 4 special cards in this deck before the game begins. 4. Shermans / Panzer IV U.S. tanks aren’t allowed to stack with U.S. infantry. 5. Others No refits are allowed.

German

The elements of Grenadier-Regiment 916 in the VI04, VI05, VI06, VI07, TO08 and VI09.

Turn 4: German

The supporting tank in the German Headquarters.

Victory The U.S. player must control the TO08 zone at the end of the game. Any other result is a German victory.
