This amendment is used to address solicitation W2671-16DL08/A as follows: x

Questions and Answers

Question: Under Annex C, 3.2.2 Transducer Excitation: the excitation current does not seem to take into account that the actual current requirement would differ depending on the excitation voltage as well as the nominal resistance of the Wheatstone bridge. Why is the requirement for excitation current so high?

Answer: The system does not need to provide a maximum of 20mA current capacity. It only needs to provide the current required for the voltage excitation and Wheatstone bridge type transducer resistance combination. The technical merit criteria section, 3.2.2 Transducer Excitation, should read as follows: 10 points - The rotating telemetry system is capable of providing per-channel voltage excitation between 2VDC and 10VDC inclusive to each Wheatstone Bridge type transducer. 20 points - The rotating telemetry system is capable of providing per-channel voltage excitation between 2VDC and 10VDC inclusive to each Wheatstone Bridge type transducer 30 points - The rotating telemetry system is capable of providing per-channel, user adjustable voltage excitation from 2VDC to 10VDC inclusive to each Wheatstone Bridge type transducer
