This Amendment No. 002 is raised to answer the following questions:
Q1:
Specification section 33 56 14 Aboveground Fuel Storage Tanks, paragraph 2.1.6 indicated “Double-walled with vacuum monitored interstitial space.” Can we use a contained tank instead of a vacuum monitored tank?
A1:
No, a vacuum monitored tank must be used.
Q2:
Is Owner supplying gasoline for commissioning?
A2:
Yes, the Owner is supplying fuel.
Q3:
In the specs it calls for a construction code of CSA S601. Can the tank be constructed to an API 650 or 12F Standard?
A3:
No CAN/ULC-S601-14 is required.
Q4:
In Drawing M101, detail 6 Fuel Cabinet detail indicated “115V 20GPM Fuel Pump with Meter”. There won’t be enough suction by locating pump on fuel cabinet. Please advise if revised drawings for the pump will be provided.
A4:
Pump to be provided as specified and shop drawing approval is required prior to ordering.
Q5:
Drawing M101, detail 6 Fuel Cabinet detail indicated “6.0m Hose Reel” and there isn’t any specification for this item. Do we have to provide spring rewind or mechanical rewind hose reel for this project?
A5:
Hose reel should have a heavy duty spring rewind, and shop drawing approval is required prior to ordering.
ADDENDUM 1 In the Summary of Work Section 01 11 00 PWGSC clarifies that commissioning includes pressure testing of the tank system by a certified petroleum contractor in the Province of Saskatchewan with written results to be provided to the Departmental Representative within 5 days of completion. 1. At Section 01 11 00, under 1.2 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: INSERT: .1 .8 Commissioning and pressure testing of the new AST system after the Owner has registered the system with EC, and a registration number has been provided and installed on the tank.
