Dzongsar Projects Projects 2009 This project has been developed after we have done the balance sheet 2008 and after the meeting in Dzongsar with Adha Tsering, Marie Delvaux, the teachers of Tibetan primary school and local managers in December 2008.

1- SYNTHESIS of Projects 2009: Project N°1: Progress in Dzongsar Tibetan primary s chool and teach a “life education” In Tibetan primary school of Dzongsar: Dzongsar: help to buy school equipment and progress in teaching team. Teach children a “life education”: Some children, after Tibetan primary school could go in middle school and after in high school. It’s the main way of education. This part of project is to complete the education of some children and have “life education”. Some children could learn to have skills in English or cooking or other skills, more Chinese etc…. in order to could have some job in the valley to care notably of person in ecotourism. Project N°2: progress in equipment of the Dzongsar Tibetan primary school The project has been launched in January 2008 and the first step of the project was to build the school with 6 classrooms. 111 children between 6 and 18 years old were concerned. The school was build for a capacity of 150 children. The mostly of these children comes from poor family. In February 2008 the building of the school was launched and in October 2008, the school has been open with very basic equipment. No water, no toilet, no kitchen, no furniture, no heating. But this building gives now the possibility to 3 teachers to care of children. The teaching is in Tibetan language and a few Chinese teaching is also spent. Mostly children are boy and we decide to collect more girls for these Tibetan schools, in order she could also give education to their children in the future. This second step of the project will be to: •

Build little Kitchen to made lunch for children

4- Launch the project of print a “Picture books” to fund-raising and progress in culture Tibetan conference Cover of the pictures book This book is in order to Lab Dra Khampa can continue to help children to have a good education in Dzongsar and in others places in Kham (As the 2 managers of Lab dra Khampa – Adha and Marie - will decide when they study with local teacher), to sponsor children for middle school. Education for children to could integrate and have a part in local economy of Dzongsar and Kham. Education for boys and girls to could understand and have a life in the respect of the Tibetan culture but open on the other cultures (English, Chinese language) to could understand the others and could talk about their culture in order to preserve it. the title could be “ I want learn in Dzongsar” “Je veux apprendre à Dzongsar” en français – the book will be first written in french
Preface could be written by known and concerned person?
This book will be sold to sponsor children. It will be fine if the preface could be written by known and concerned person in order to recommend this book and have best fund-raising.
A first mock-up will be done around 2 or 3 months. The Aim is to print it in November before the fest of new year here. The mock-up could be valided by them before write the preface if they agree.
Chapters of the pictures book
This is the different chapters of the book In the book: no politic, no religion teaching only: Tibetan pictures of Tibet, Kham, Dzongsar, the story of this school but also: Information about Tibetan culture and Tibetan symbol with drawings, pictures, writing and comments
