Projet: Projet: Dzongsar Tibetan Tibetan School
Why this project? Beyond the life conditions often precarious, the educational system in Tibetan villages is generally insufficient: lack of financial means, skilled teachers, school equipment and fitted place. The children suffer about that and without education it will be impossible for them to integrate and manage in the future the structure of ecotourism under growing in this country. In order to remedy this situation, it's necessary to give every child a quality education and implement the material sound based of this development. Context of the Dzongsar Tibetan School There are 4 primary schools in Dzongsar area. One of them is a Tibetan school. This Dzongsar Tibetan School is managed by the Dzongsar monastery but is not only for the future monks. This school is mainly used by nomad and by the poorest children. The education is not only monastic teaching but also traditional teaching. The building of this primary Tibetan school is too old and too dangerous to be used. As a consequence, there is no building to have classes. Moreover the teaching is normally in Tibetan and in Chinese,. Unfortunately the Chinese teacher was passed since then has been no Chinese teacher. Aim of the project Rebuilding this Tibetan primary school situated in Dzongsar, currently under tent or outside, and improving the skills of teaching in order to give the children a sufficient education to help them to become the future actors in the local economy.

Project description Analysis
Problems
The building of the primary monastery school is too old and too dangerous to be used. As a consequence, there is no building to have classes. When the weather is good they used to have class under tents or out side. If the weather is not good, they don't have class. It will be too expensive to renovate the old building.
Needs
In any case, there are only 2 teachers for 111 children and any Chinese teaching is instructed.
The teaching is in Tibetan but the school doesn’t have enough books and notebooks to work.
Building a new school for these students with 5 classrooms, kitchen, dinning room, equipments to cook and to eat, heater, toilet, electricity, water and furniture for teaching,

Dzongsar area Dzongsar is a valley located in Derge County, Khandze Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is located four hours drive from the County town.
Dzongsar, Derge County Dzongsar area is between 3400m and 4000m high. This is a beautiful authentic valley. 30 villages, 6000 persons, 70 % of farmers and 30 % of nomads.

About the association
Dra Lab Dra Khampa mains « School of Kham » in Tibetan. Lab D ra Khampa is a French non-politic and non-profit making association. The association aims to help children and to cooperate in the development of common structures of the Dzongsar area. The Dzongsar program includes different projects with 3 aims: Education Environment Eco tourism The Dzongsar Tibetan School project is one of the projects of the Dzongsar program. Education: Rebuilding the Dzongsar Tibetan primary school, currently under tent or outside and improve the bad conditions in the others primary schools. Improve the skills of teaching and build a middle school in order to give the children a sufficient education to manage themselves the future structures of the local economic system. Environment and Eco Tourism: Education regarding the basic sanitary and healthy rules, protection of the ecologic system, organization of the garbage collection. Helping in management of ecotourism and developing the local skills for the future job in local economic system. Building a cultural centre: Building a library, free health centre, a cultural and socializing meeting centre for children and their community
Lab Dra Khampa relies on French and international volunteers and the collected funds will be used to finance the different projects of the Dzongsar program.
