Introduction Bjerringbro BMX Klub & Viborg municipality are proud to present you, for the UEC BMX European Cup Rounds 5 & 6. Our club has been active for 30´years in Danish BMX, and has a good reputation for organizing races. We have a lot of experience with the standard of the European rounds as our riders for many years have been in the top of the rounds. To mentioned a few, the Baltzersen brothers and Simone and Chris T Christensen. Bjerringbro is a railway town with 7,523 inhabitants located in beautiful nature at the Gudenaa (God creek). The city is characterized by the large industrial company Grundfos, one of the world’s leading pump factories. 50% of the world circulators are manufactured by the company. Bjerringbro is located in Viborg Municipality and only 20 km from the main town Viborg. Viborg is one of Denmark´s oldest towns which can be traced back to Viking times. You can feel history all around you in the old town centre, but it is also a modern town with pedestrian streets and shops.

Numberplates and side-plates The organisation will NOT provide numberplats and lateral plates. Riders have to bring their own and apply them according the rules.

all Championship and Challenge riders must either wear a clearly visible national flag of their country on both shoulders or the national jersey of their country otherwise they will not be allowed to start.

Rules: The provisions of the UCI’s BMX rule book in its latest version apply with a few amendments:
Short pants : are allowed provided they are used together with knee and shin protection with a rigid surface that extends from the knee protection to fully cover the shin until just above the ankle. Nevertheless the UEC BMX Commission recommends for safety reasons the use of long pants. Jeans: are not allowed - all classes. Use of clip pedals : riders aged 13 and older are allowed to use clip pedals. Front and side plates : colors and sizes as per UCI rule book article 6.1.072. Since photo finish system is utilized, each bicycle entered into competition must display a lateral number plate located just behind the steer tube. The number shall be black with a white background. The height of the number must be a minimum of 8 cm with a width of 1 cm. The riders must display the number assigned to him : career number if any for Elite classes and then International European Numbers that are assigned by the UEC race Administrator. It is the responsibility of the rider to check he has the correct number on his plate. No correct number or no correct plate means: no authorization to start. Numbers on jerseys : riders without a permanent UCI career number must not print a number on the back of their jersey. Championship and Challenge riders must either wear a clearly visible national flag of their country on both shoulders or the national jersey of their country - otherwise they will not be allowed to start. If a Championship rider is National Champion in their class, this rider must wear either : The jersey awarded by the federation, - a replica of that jersey with publicity in the spaces allowed by the regulations, - their normal jersey with the left sleeve designed to look like the flag of their country.

Trophies and prize money Challenge and Cruisers: All 8 finalists will receive a trophy. Numbers 1 up to 3 will receive their trophy on the podium directly after the finals. Numbers 4 up to 8 can collect their trophy directly after the finals near the podium. Championship categorie: Prize money will be awarded according to the schedule below.

Team area Each team (UEC-registered or non UEC-registered) that wants to place a team in the Team area, has to book a team place . You will get 1 entrance pass for a car/van to drop off the bikes and equipment. There is one parking spot per team tent available on the parking area closest to the entrance. The UEC-registered teams are closest to the track. Every team receives 2 entry bracelets. Only UEC registered teamd with an UEC badge has access in the Team Manager Zone.
