Welcome Welcome to Winterthur and the 5. & 6. round of the BMX European Championships 2007. The races will be held at the Powerbike BMX MTB Track in Winterthur-Dättnau, Switzerland. Please have a look at our Webpage and find there the most important information for the EC 2007 event.
The 2007 European BMX Championship races will be run through series of 12 rounds at 6 different venues: Habay la Neuve - Belgium 1st and 2nd round 21st and 22nd April 2007 Klatovy – Czech Republic 3rd and 4th round 5th and 6th May 2007 Winterthur - Switzerland 5th and 6th round 19th and 20th May 2007 Valmiera - Latvia 7th and 8th round 9th and 10th June 2007 Kampen - Nederland 9th and 10th round 23rd and 24th June 2007 Romans – France 11th and 12th round 13th – 14th – 15th July 2007
The 2007 Elite and Junior BMX Championship Series is the Continental BMX Championship and is open for all other. Continents, riders and classes. Only European riders will come into overall standing list and overall price money. For the determination of the overall standing, the best 10 results out of 12 rounds will count. The deadline for pre-registration is: May 5th 2007 A federation (and only the federation) can cancel riders until the Thursday at 8 am before the event. They will not have to pay for this registration. If they do not show up at the event and do not cancel participation in due time, entry fee will have to be paid.
Entry Fees The entry fee for all Challenge classes is: 25,00 € per class/ per day (per start) The entry fee for Championship classes is: 55,00 € per round for Elite classes. 30,00 € per round for Junior classes. A penalty for late entries will be charged and the rider will have to pay double amount due if he register after the deadline.
Classes Challenge (international race): Boys Boys 9/ 10, Boys 11/ 12 Girls Girls 9/ 10, Girls 11/ 12 Attention: Boys & Girls 8 Years and under and Cruisers 12 Years and under are not allowed to participate at these races! European Challenge Cup: Boys 13/14, Boys 15/16, Men 17/24, Men 25/29, Men 30 and over Girls 13/14, Girls 15/16, Women 17 and over Cruiser 13/14, Cruiser 15/16, Cruiser 17/18, Cruiser 19/29, Cruiser 30/39, Cruiser 40 and over Master Classes (Championship Series): Junior Women, Junior Men Elite Women, Elite Men
Competition rules For all other matters the 2007 UCI Rule Book becomes valid.
More information at www.uecbmx.com, www.uci.ch and www.bmxwinterthur.ch/ec2007 All riders in the 2007 BMX European Championship series must wear national flag of their country on both shoulders, otherwise they will NOT be allowed to attend to race. The only exception is to wear a national shirt of their country. The flag’s at both shoulders have to be at least 7 x 6 cm wide. Number Plates The organiser doesn’t supply number plates. Each rider has to bear his international number. Riders in the 2007 European Championship have to race with the following front plates and number combination: Elite Men /Women yellow plate/black number - Junior Men/Women Black plate/ white number. They must also bear a lateral white plate with their black race number on both sides like in 2006. Size of numbers 80 mm high, 10 mm wide. The lateral number plate is mandatory!
Registration Control Friday May 18th from 05 pm to 08 pm, Saturday May 19th from 08 am to 09 am The Team Managers of each country will be responsible for the confirmation of the riders.
Catering Drinks and food will be available during the whole weekend next to the track.

Anreise mit dem Flugzeug - Flying to Zurich Airport Der Fluhafen Zürich liegt abhängig vom Verkehrsaufkommen ca. 20-30min von Winterthur entfernt. Am Flughafen können problemlos Mietwagen reserviert und abgeholt werden. Die Verbindungen mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zwischen dem Flughafen Zürich und der Stadt Winterthur sind hervorragend und werden wärmstens empfohlen. Der Fahrplan der SBB (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen) kann über den untenstehenden Link eingesehen werden. Zurich Airport is located between Zurich and Winterthur. Depending on the road traffic, Winterthur can be reached in just 20-30min by car. Car rental is easy at Zurich Airport. Please check our favorite links below accordingly. Anreise mit dem Auto - Travelling by car Winterthur ist über die Autobahn A1 einfach zu erreichen. Um direkt zum BMX Track zu gelangen, empfehlen wir die Ausfahrt Winterthur-Töss zu benutzen. Winterthur is easy to reach by car via highway A1. If you woud like to get directly to the BMX Track, please use Exit Winterthur-Töss. While this is the best way to get to the track, you can use all other Exits around Winterthur anyway. Hotels are mainly located in the city and close neighbourhood of Winterthur.
