Question #1: These ballast walls are designed to be pre-cast as two pieces, left and right, and have pipe sleeves cast into the middle between both sides, spanning across the cast in place joint. The rebar reinforcing around the pipe sleeves is embedded in both left and right sides - how can this be accommodated? Answer #1: Horizontal embedded bars are U bars – please refer to the drawing S 04 Diagonals bars, stops at the joint – please refer to the drawing S 04 Please see drawing S 04, vertical reinforcement is provided at the C.I.P joint.
All other terms and conditions of the Invitation to Tender remain unchanged.
