Repair costs for Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 are rarely placed Only if the waranty is unvalid there is no repair on accomodation granted and we will charge repair costs. In this case we'll charge the time for repairing by the minutes needed and additionaly an outer cleaning of the hub, if necessary (10 min). Spokes for 26" wheels 26" wheels built with the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 require a special spoke length (from 228 mm). You may give us the type of rim you intend to use or you may refer to our spoke length chart, we will deliver your hub with the correct spokes. Spokes for 28" wheels are readily available at any bike shop.

Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 OIL We recommend changing gearbox oil from Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 annually. Even if you lose oil from the hub, the hub will continue to operate for another year. Service Tools for Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 - Service To install the SPEEDHUB 500/14 you need TX20 Torx keys. 2 & 3mm hex keys are needed, the axle bolts require a 15mm wrench. These tools are available at bicycle or hardware stores. Only one specific tool is needed to remove the Sprocket. To change the oil you need a Tube with filling screw delivered with each hub.
