This is the last will and Testament of me John Lovelock of Barton Stacey in the County of Southampton labourer, First I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences shall be fully paid and satisfied by my executors herein after named. I give and devise unto my nephew George Lovelock of Tangley in the said County labourer and to his heirs and assigns my Freehold house land heriditaments and premises situate at Chute in the County of Wilts as now occupied by William Cook labourer. To hold the same to him his heirs and assigns for ever and I give devise and bequeath unto Mr William Horwood of Barton Stacey Carpenter , and to George Lovelock of Tangly labourer, and to Francis William Dolton InnKeeper of the City of Winchester, their heirs executors administrators and assigns all the residue and remainder of my estate and effects of what nature or kind soever both real and personal and wheresoever situate and being To hold the same to them their heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever according to the nature and quality thereof Upon Trust to sell and convert into money such part or parts of my said estate and effects as shall not consist of money and after paying thereout all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences and all costs and expences incurred by them in or about the execution of the trusts hereby in them reposed then Upon Further Trust to divide the said residue and remainder of my said real and personal Estate and effects unto and equally between and among my nephews John Lovelock and William Lovelockand my half Brother Stephen Lovelock all of Vernham Dean in the said County of Southampton Labourers and William Francis Dolton InnKeeper of the City of Winchester, share and share alike one share to each of the four last named persons and I hereby declare that the receipt of the said William Horwood and George Lovelock and Francis William Dolton jointly their heirs executors and assigns shall be a good discharge and good discharges for all monies paid to them [signed in

the margin at this point by John Lovelock, W Horwood, James Diddams and William Dolton as administrators] under or by virtue of this my will And I further declare they shall not be answerable or responsible for any loss that may arise or be incurred to or by my said estate and effects other than for such as shall arise or be incurred by his or their wilful neglect or default and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said William Horwood George Lovelock and Francis William Dolton to be my executors of this my Will and I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time made In Witness whereof I have to this my will contained in one sheet of paper set my hand

and seal the fourteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two. Whereas I John Lovelock of Barton Stacey in the County of Southampton Labourer have made and duly executed my last Will and Testament in writing bearing Date the fourteenth of February one thousand eight hundred and forty two Now I hereby declare this present writing to be a Codicil to my said Will and I do direct the same to be annexed thereto and to be taken as a part thereof. And I do hereby give and bequeath to my nephew William Francis Dolton Inn Keeper of the City of Winchester all the Monies that I have in the Savings Bank at Winchester And hereby ratifying and confirming my said Will in all and other particulars thereof I the said John Lovelock have to this Codicil set my hand and seal this the tenth Day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three.
