Setup

In order to properly setup ProntoCam, you will need to go through the following steps: 1. Pronto XCF Merge 2. Network configuration 3. ProntoCam parameters 4. Images and ressources adaptation (optional) 5. Radio Preset logo and frequency setup 6. Custom Language adaptation (optional)

Page 6

Setup – Pronto XCF Merge The Pronto XCF merge process is very simple. ProntoCam is a « stand-alone » activity. You will not need to add any equipment and codes in PEP V2 project configuration. All necessary RS 232 commands are defined as prontoscript variables. In order to merge Prontocam with your existing configuration, just follow the import / merge instructions available in PEP V2 help. You can also simply open ProntoCam file, copy ProntoCam activity, close ProntoCam file, open your file and paste the ProntoCam activity in it. You will then need to setup a « page jump » link to, for example, « Room 1 page» in ProntoCam activity

ProntoCam home activity is not used. It just gives access to ProntoCam Room 1 page. Before any merge, it is recommanded that you first test ProntoCam activity stand alone.

Page 7

Setup – Network Configuration Before testing ProntoCam on a « stand alone » mode, make sure you enter you own wi-fi parameters in the System Properties page (Network tab).

Enter SSID name Enter Encryption type Enter WEP / WAP key

Page 8

Setup – ProntoCam Parameters 1 You will need to change ProntoCam parameters. These parameters can be found in the « PARAMETERS » hidden page:

To change a parameter value, select first the yellow box containing the value…

Then insert in label tab the right parameter

Page 9

Setup – ProntoCam Parameters 2 Extender Number: extender number used in your Pronto Network

Serial Port: Serial port on which the Russound Cam is connected to.

Number of Sources: Enter here the number of sources used with the Russound CAM. If you want to have specific images for these sources load the images in the corresponding buttons in the RESSOURCES page. Source label must also be changed accordingly.

Language: Language for ProntoCam. Possible options: ENGLISH, FRENCH or CUSTOM (case sensitive!). Label used are those in page LABELS. If you want to use a CUSTOM language, you will first need to fill in translations in the LABELS pages.

Radio Preset Page: ProntoCam enables you to have several Radio Preset Pages. A radio preset page contains the list of radios (images + frequency + order) you want to have in the « My Radios » tab in the Radio Page. The Radio Preset Page parameter defines the name of the hidden page to be used for radio preset. By default this parameter is RADIO PRESET. If you want to create your own page, copy/paste RADIO PRESET hidden page, change name, change content and insert here the page name wanted (see Setup - Radio Preset). Volume increment: Enter here the number you want the volume to be incremented to when using the volume + or volume - buttons both for soft and hard buttons (volume in Russound Cam is ranked from 0 to 100). Vol.Onhold Interval: Enter the time interval (in milliseconds) used for repeating the volume+ or volume- actions when volume+ or volume- buttons are pressed and held. Match Timeout (ms): Technical parameter. DO NOT CHANGE if not mastered. Timeout for serial port match actions. Increase timeout if information coming from Russound CAM not received correctly.

Page 10

Setup – Ressources and Images 1. ProntoCam comes with defined images for 2 sources (Radio and MP3). Russound Cam can handle up to 6 sources. 2. Images for the other 4 sources are standard black buttons with Source number as a label. 3. Large source buttons are used in the Room 1 and 2 pages. 4. Small source buttons are used in the All Zone upper buttons.

5. If you want to change source button image, you will need to go to the RESSOURCES hidden page and change both Released and Pressed State images.

Page 11

Setup – Radio Preset 1 What is Radio Preset About ? Russound CAM can store radio preset (known as Memory Preset). CAM can go up to 6 preset for each of the 6 available banks (total of radio preset is then 36). Nonetheless, Russound RS 232 protocol does not allow to recall directly a defined radio preset. ProntoCam allows you to directly manage your own radio presets (independently from Russound Cam’s). The radio presets you will define in the Radio Preset Page will be available in the « My Radios » tab within Radio Pronto 9600 page.

Page 12

Setup – Radio Preset 2 Radio Preset default page is as follows:

Make sure you also change Radio Preset Page parameter in the PARAMETER hidden page (see Setup – Parameters)
