Hi, I was forwarded this address by Anne Evans at Firestorm ministries. I’m currently researching some healing testimonies and have been referred to Chad’s account of the ‘grocery store’ healings. I’m interested in learning some more details about these. In particular, can you tell me exactly when this was and which store it was? Was it the Safeway on E. believe in God’s power to heal today, but I’ve learned the hard way that testimonies can be inaccurately reported, even with the best of intentions. The ‘grocery store’ testimony has been the subject of some recent discussion on a christian internet forum of which I’m a longstanding member, and has been cited by another guy on the forum as evidence of God’s work at Bethel. Some years ago a testimony came up on the same forum and the result of contacting the person was that she could vouch for the healing in question and provide quite a lot of additional detail. I tend to research these things because I spend a lot of time on the web for my job (I’m a freelance translator, which also involves a lot of online research) and I guess I’m the kind of guy who likes to get to the bottom of things. EutychusYes the testimony was in Win-Co and no Chad did not take down their names, phone numbers, or anything like that. He was just going to the store to buy some donuts. I know exactly what kind of internet forums you are talking about. Honestly, I really don’t get involved with those because it is a group of a bunch of skeptics who won’t change their mind through arguing-- it is only by the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit that will change those sort of people.
