VÉRONIQUE CLOUTIER AND LOUIS MORISSETTE ANNOUNCE THE CREATION OF THE VÉRO & LOUIS FOUNDATION! MONTREAL, APRIL 5, 2016 — APRIL IS AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH Véronique Cloutier and Louis Morissette launch The Véro & Louis Foundation dedicated to providing a longterm living environment suited to the needs of adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) aged 21 and older. LIVING DIFFERENTLY - A HOME SUITED TO DIFFERENT NEEDS The construction of a home suited to adults with autism was motivated by the concerns of parents of children with ASD whose resources diminish significantly once they reach adulthood. The book Deux garçons à la mère by comedian Guylaine Guay (mother of two autistic children) was a catalyst for Véronique Cloutier and Louis Morissette’s reflection on the issue. They quickly became sensitive to the anxiety of families living with an autistic adult: ‘’By talking with Guylaine and many parents of autistic children, we realized they were all haunted by the same fear: Who will take care of my child if something happens to me? Knowing there are as many individuals with autism as there are forms of autism, who will respond to my child’s needs with the same care and same sensitivity?’’ explained Véronique Cloutier and Louis Morissette. LES MORISSETTE BENEFIT SHOWS FOR THE CAUSE The Morissettes are pleased to announce that, as of today, $2 per ticket sold will be donated to The Véro & Louis Foundation. This operation will continue until the end of the tour scheduled for 2017. In addition, Véro and Louis will offer four special shows, the proceeds of which will be donated to The Véro & Louis Foundation: November 23 and 30, 2016 at the Capitole de Québec January 13 and 14, 2017 in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts RAFFY SINGS TO BENEFIT THE FOUNDATION RAFFY and The Véro & Louis Foundation come together to present the song On écrit sur les murs, the proceeds of which will be donated to The Véro & Louis Foundation. Written and composed by Jean-Marie Moreau and Romano Musumarra (1989), the song is covered today by RAFFY featuring Judith Bérard. The song will be available for download on iTunes in the next few hours.
