Bio Speaker 1: Capitaine Christophe SOCHACKI is assigned at the Centre de Formation Interarmées (CFIA) NH90 at Le Luc (France) where he is in charge of the NH90 Training Media. His operational background is 3 000 flight hours as an helicopter pilot since 1997. He is appointed as an instructor on NH90, FENNEC, PUMA and COUGAR. Expert in Training, he has been involved in the development of these Training Media including now the NH90. Bio Speaker 2: Stéphane MIJONNET is graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Paris. As a Program Manager at Sogitec Industries since 2005, he was in charge of the delivery of the Training media for the French Air Force Ab initio Flying School in Cognac. He is now in charge of the NH90 Training Media project. Abstract Aiming to fulfill comprehensively the NH90 wide range of Training Tasks List (TTL), NAHEMA1 placed a contract for the delivery of turnkey training centers to the French Armed Forces. A first serial MRTD 2 had to be delivered within 18 months and five other devices (including one FFS 3) within the next two years. In order to meet the NH90 program’s challenges, Sogitec has developed a solution leveraging the best of available technologies, in cooperation with the OEM (Eurocopter & AgustaWestland), and in close relationship with End Users to facilitate the operational validation. A concurrent engineering based on an FFS Data Package has led to a coherent family of Training Media. The solution was crafted in the frame of the Client’s tight schedule at affordable lifecycle costs. The design of the first MRTD, the first instantiation of the whole range, and its potential in terms of training capabilities have been confirmed by End-Users: the MRTD exceeds initial expectations in terms of TTL covering up to 80% of FFS capability. Finland has subsequently joined France within the NAHEMA contract and will receive their MRTD in 2015.

This briefing will be done jointly by the CFIA NH90 4 and SOGITEC. It will highlight the challenges and lessons learned associated with the first phase of the program, leading to the deployment of the first MRTD flight simulator at the Academy. It will describe successively the leading requirements from the Forces, the technical aspects of the solution, and the perspectives in terms of training values of the MRTD.
