TEACHING DESCRIPTION COURSES AND PRACTICAL WORKS MATHEMATICS Courses cover LINEAR ALGEBRA (vector spaces), MATRIX CALCULUS (matrix exponential, eigenvalues) and ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS (ODEs). LAPLACE TRANSFORMS, ZTRANSFORMS. Labs include resolution using MATLAB (NUMERIC AND SYMBOLIC TOOLBOX) of first-order and second-order ODEs, linear systems of ODEs. CONTROL ENGINEERING Courses cover CONTINUOUS and DIGITAL CONTROL OF LINEAR SYSTEM, analysis (OBSERVABILITY, CONTROLABILLITY AND STABILITY) and design (PI, PID, POLE ASSIGNMENT, LQ) by transfer functions and state-space methods. MULTIVARIABLE CONTROL SYSTEMS. Labs include control design using MATLAB/Simulink, and computer control of the INVERTED PENDULUM using a PC with real-time software (WinCon) and DC MOTOR.

GRAPHICAL PROGRAMMING I have taught two Labs including LabVIEW tool, among others, Elevator and Two Tanks regulation. Since two consecutive years I have been teaching four labs using Altera’s Maxplus II for Logic Device Programming. These Labs cover Half and Full adder, Combination Addition/Subtraction system, Comparator and Timer. I have also been teaching five labs using Electronics WorkBench for Digital Circuits Simulation. These labs are concerned with Multiplexer, Flip-Flop (RS, JK and Edge-Triggerd D), RegisterCounter, Read/Write Memories. I also master programming of Real-Time Industrial Automata (TSX Micro 37XX) using GRAFCET and LADDER language using Telemecanique’s PL7 pro.

MEASUREMENT CHAIN Courses cover measure of alternate and direct signals, Power measurement and Adaptation of impedance. Stable and Unstable Triphase. Operational Amplifiers (Op-Amps), Analog/Digital and Digital/Analog Converters, Sensors.

ELECTROTECHNIC Electrical Machines: Triphase, Synchronous and Asynchronous, Transformers, Alternators. Power Electronic: Diode, Transistor, Basic Thyristor converter.

RESEARCH INTEREST Discrete event systems: Modelling (Petri nets, automata), Performance analysis, Control. Linear continuous dynamic systems: Modelling (Space states, Transfert function), Control. Hybrid systems (Mixed continuous-variable and discrete-event dynamical systems): switched linear systems, optimal control, Performance analysis, supervision, fault diagnosis. Transportation (traffic road): Macroscopic and microscopic modelling, Traffic control.

ACADEMIC HONOR I have obtained the first prize for best contributions of Ph.D., offered by IEEE section France International Conference Francophone on Automatic, Tunisia, November, 2004.
