Tax refund for US tax based donors In May 2004, CAFAmerica determined that Child of Lebanon is eligible to receive grants from CAFAmerica. CAFAmerica was founded in 1992 to provide financial services to charities and their supporters. It is a member of CAFAmerica International Network with over $2b. of charitable funds under management. CAFAmerica helps individuals and companies manage their international philanthropy. In order to make a tax-effective gift, the donor would have to fill a “Gift Form” (please refer to next page) stating that he wishes to make a donation to CAFAmerica and suggest Child of Lebanon as the ultimate grant recipient. However, CAFAmerica would only accept single donations in excess of $500 . All grant suggestions must beforehand be approved by CAFAmerica’s Board of Directors. Child of Lebanon has already received donations through CAFAmerica without any exception. CAFAmerica deducts administrative costs for each individual donation to enable it to deliver its services as follows: 8% of the first $25,000 – 4% for the next $75,000 – 1% over $100,000.
