Compact, Light and Powerful The T404 Series provides the truck you need when length and tare weight are important, but you still require horsepower. All models come with a choice of engines up to 505hp and 1850lb/ft of torque. The original T404 model offers maximum interior space within the cab, while the T404S/ST variants have been developed for applications needing a shorter bumper-to-back-of-cab length. The T404SAR, with its set-forward front axle, gives the optimal dimensions for 19m B-Double and most 19m Quad Dog vocations.

Your Choice of Styling The T404 and T404S feature contemporary aerodynamic styling for maximum fuel efficiency when travelling at highway speed. However, if you prefer the traditional Kenworth hood and grille, check out the T404ST or the T404SAR with their classic lines. A two-piece windscreen is an option on all models.

The Power to Do Your Job The T404 Series is available with a complete range of engines from the major North American engine manufacturers, delivering up to 505hp with 1850lb/ft of torque. To achieve this high level of horsepower the cooling package is specifically designed to meet Australia’s toughest conditions and applications where high temperatures and heavy loads are common – far higher requirements than for North American or European operations. Other standard features such as TAS85 power steering mean that the T404 Series is engineered to handle the job at hand.

Driver Safety and Comfort The fuel efficient aerodynamic styling of the T404 Series, with its sloping bonnet and onepiece windscreen also provides excellent visibility for the driver. Visibility is improved even further by Daylite doors fitted as standard. Inside the cab, the ergonomically designed wraparound dash and overhead console mean that all controls are easily reached and clearly visible, unobscured by the steering wheel. Everything is laid out so that the driver can give full attention to the road, minimising distraction and fatigue.

Keeping it Short and Smart The T404S and T404ST, with minimised bumper-to-back-of-cab length, are the perfect solutions for high horsepower 48’ single trailer operations where length is critical, as well as B-Double, tipper and tanker applications. The recessed-back sleeper options are particularly suitable for 48’ refrigerated trailer configurations, with their specially profiled rear allowing increased swing clearance. The T404S features aerodynamic styling for high fuel efficiency, while the T404ST is the truck for those who prefer the traditional Kenworth hood and grille.

T404SAR T404SAR 19m Rigid Truck & Quad Dog: Axle spacing > 17.5m permits 50.0t GCM
Designed for Maximum Payload and Maximum Profit Known as the OptimiSAR, the T404SAR was specifically designed to provide maximum payload under Australian regulations for 19m B-Double and most 19m Quad Dog applications. The set-forward front axle provides optimal axle group spacings for these vocations, allowing up to half a tonne of additional payload on every trip. Reflecting its function as a tough workhorse, the T404SAR features the classic Kenworth flat grille and hood.
