Sensor Installation To install the JetCAPS MicrDIMM sensor, please follow the different steps carefully, in the correct order. JETMOBILE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OF ANY DAMAGE YOU COULD CAUSE TO THE PRINTER OR TO YOURSELF WHEN INSTALLING THE SENSOR. JETMOBILE RECOMMANDS THAT YOU FIRST READ ALL THE STEPS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION. 1. Switch the printer OFF, unplug the power cable and any other connection (network cable …). WARNING: Hazardous voltages are present in the printer. It is mandatory to unplug any power cable from the printer, before starting the installation.
WARNING: If the printer was ON, it is important to wait 10 minutes before starting the installation, because some printer parts may be hot.
2. Open the top cover and remove the toner cartridge. 3. Remove the right side cover: · Slide the right side cover from the front to the back of the printer. 4. Remove the top cover: · Open the rear door. · Remove the 2 screw from the cage, open the cage, then remove it (see Figure 1). Figure 1

Unscrew the 4 screws located on the top of the cover. Unclip the plastic arm, then remove the cover top. (Lift the top cover carefully). Figure 2
5. Run the cable through the printer as show on picture 3. The connector will be connected to the DIMM (on 4200-4300) or CompactFlash (on 4250-4350) in the formatter board area. Put the dual-side adhesive tape on the sensor (on the totally flat side), and fix it firmly in the area indicated as “2” in Figures 3 and 4 (stick it on the top of the flat area).

Run the cable to the DIMM or CompactFlash module, and trim the cable on top of the cage by rolling them so that the cable does not stay loose in the cage or before the sensor. (as indicated in the area marked “1” in figure 5). Plug the connector on the MicrDIMM which is plugged in one of the available DIMM (4200-4300) or CompactFlash (4250-4350) slots.

II – MICR Toner label position for 4200-4250-4300-4350
The sensor detects a white label on the toner cartridge, therefore differentiating it from a regular toner cartridge. The biggest and brightest the label, the best it is.
Jetmobile does not provide toner, but recommends the following: -
use high quality MICR toner and check paper only, to ensure a good toner adhesion and limit risks of toner removal. only use new cartridges, and not remanufactured and even less recycled cartridges, as a perfect toner cartridge is mandatory to keep checks printing quality.

III – Keylock Installation To install the Jetmobile MicrDIMM keylock, please follow the different steps carefully, in the correct order. JETMOBILE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OF ANY DAMAGE YOU COULD CAUSE TO THE PRINTER OR TO YOURSELF WHEN INSTALLING THE KEYLOCK. JETMOBILE RECOMMANDS THAT YOU FIRST READ ALL THE STEPS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION. 1. Switch the printer OFF, unplug the power cable and any other connection (network cable …). WARNING: Hazardous voltages are present in the printer. It is mandatory to unplug any power cable from the printer, before starting the installation.
WARNING: If the printer was ON, it is important to wait 10 minutes before starting the installation, because some printer parts may be hot.
2. Open the right side cover and remove the formatter door. 3. Take the 4 parts for the keylock (keylock, EIO plate, nut, keylock cover) and assemble them as per the following picture:

4. Remove a free EIO slot plate, and make sure you keep the two screws at hand. Then insert the EIO plate as per the following picture:
When the plate is installed fix it with the two screws that were fixing the free EIO slot plate.
5. Disconnect the sensor from the MicrDIMM DIMM (4200-4300) or CompactFlash (4250-4350) , connect the keylock cable to the sensor cable by detaching the black loop connector and attaching the keylock, reconnect the sensor to the MicrDIMM DIMM or CompactFash.
