Position held: developer 6-month work placement into the bosom of the research team MSI (located in the IFI and part of the IRD/UPMC International Research Unit UMMISCO). My main objective is a complete refactoring of the execution environment and graphical user interface of a simulation platform called GAMA. A platform which aims at providing field experts, modellers, and computer scientists with a complete modelling and simulation development environment for building spatially explicit multi-agent simulations. By doing it, I proposed a software architecture based on Eclipse RCP architecture, which enabling the development of user interfaces in both declarative and programmatic ways. guaranteed a great flexibility for the future evolution of GAMA in terms of interaction tools with users. refactored the modelling development environment structure in order to obtain a projectoriented organization. integrated collaborative tools like SVN into the platform. implemented the entire solution with integration of latest updates of GAMA.
