For an international sport federation located in the vaud canton, we are looking for a

PRESS MANAGER FOR A FEDERATION - ENGLISH MOTHER TONGUE “Permanent Position”

Purpose of the Role : Reporting to the Press Relations Director, the candidate will assist in managing and building press relations related to the Federation’s activities, with a focus on expanding global coverage of the sport Key responsibilities : Media relations Writing and distribution of press releases and newsletters Special press service around major meetings and events Developing a proactive approach towards media (mainstream and specialist) in order to increase interest in the sport and maximise coverage; Organization of interviews with Federation President, Secretary General and other key officials; preparation of briefing documents for interviews Responding to media enquiries Media Monitoring and in-depth analysis of major Federation events Media Operations Liaising with an International Alliance to ensure that up-to-date press facilities and services are available at Federation events Preparing press kits and questions/answers documents for major events Reviewing athlete biographies prior to major events Administration General administration related to press relations Profile : University degree in journalism, political science, communications, English language or a related field 5 years’ demonstrated experience in public information, journalism ideally in the sport field Experience in an international corporation would be an asset Robust approach to writing, detailed documents under pressure, with a very keen eye for detail Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues while keeping confidential any sensitive information Swiss or valid work permit Languages : English: mother tongue French: knowledge
