NanoTeK Protection for Stone & Wood

This product is based on chemical nano-technology and protects stone & wood materials from dirt adhesion through its water and oil repellant (hydro- and oleophobic) features. The resulting effect, similar to the one found in nature on the Lotus flower, reduces any kind of stains by up to 90% or makes them removable without the use of additional cleaning products. Surfaces can be kept clean with only using water; chemical cleaners are a thing of the past which makes NanoTek Protection the most environmental friendly solution for all your needs. Nano-technology covers the surface of the material with a Tri - Layer of self-organizing molecules which are smaller than the wave length of visible light. These features reduce the effect of water caused rotting processes and maintain the original optical appearance of the coated surfaces. NanoTeK Protection for Stone & Wood is an extremely open coating for diffusion which allows materials to maintain their breathability. The right side of the brick in the picture is coated with NanoTeK Protection for Stone & Wood. It is clearly visible that water on the coated part of the surface changes its contact angle from normally 30 degrees to about 100 degrees. The effect is similar to how Mercury behaves on flat surfaces. This increase in contact angle results in the above mentioned hydro- and oleophobic effect, similar to that of the lotus flower. Application and technical Info Consumption 50 ml/m² depending on consistency of the surface material and application method. Cleaning The surface must be clean and dry, free of grease and tensides (soap or cleaner residues). Application Easy application by spraying, wiping, rolling, flooding etc.. Very light untreated wood may show a slight honeylike coloring. Maximum wood moisture 18%. Cleaning of application tools and materials can be done with water. Sealed surface will dry at room temperature in about 1-2 hours, hydro- and oleophobic effect will appear after about 4 hours. Product is suited for the following surfaces  For wood and stone surfaces which are not mechanically strained (see examples below). drastically decreases rotting of wooden objects such as garden furniture, garden huts/cabins, fences,window frames etc.  Protection of all untreated, oiled or waxed wood surfaces  Protection of all stone based materials to prevent dirt adhesion and decrease moss / algae contamination (roofs, exterior walls, monuments, sculptures etc.) Storage At room temperature at least 6 months within unopened original container. Protect from moisture, direct sunlight, heat and frost.
