The M6550 IP PBX platform offers excellent reliability and service, thanks to loop synchronization unit, loop control unit duplication and redundant power supplies. If an element fails, the system immediately switches over to the duplicated unit without interrupting communications. This architecture is more reliable as the hard drives and update diskettes have been replaced by Flash PCMCIA disks.
New technological evolutions of components have been integrated into the systems and include processors that increase loop synchronization

The sophisticated M6550 IP PBX software provides a full range of classic telephone features and also gives you access to advanced application services, such as call centers, CallPilot unified messaging, wireless mobility, CTI interface, unified management: M6500 Series Network Management System, OMSE, Voice Messaging and hotel and hospitality application interfaces. The multisite configuration allows resource centralization and sharing (voice messaging, attendant console). The platforms can go up to 12 000 terminals and can be equipped with IP interfaces. The powerful processing capabilities make the M6550 IP PBX a very high-end multiswitch that can either act as a communication platform or a transit center (up to 250 PCM or PRI), capable of handling up to 60,000 calls per hour.
