(my initial objections was having to do any of this on an off-site location out of the sight of the board - when I signed on it was my understanding everything was going to be out in the open. Where it failed in my opinion was teams planning independent of each other on various private forums, none having the necessary authority to bring it to the board, discuss it and then carry through.

I had pm'd DJ to allow us to put that forum structure along side of the existing forums, allowing the teams to have a place to work on xoops.org. He thanked me but nothing happened, so I challenged him when I saw we had the permissions but not the authority. The realization we were not making any of these decisions seperately or in unison, made me take stock of my part in this. Tom was right, we were being played against the old-timers.
