GLP RiskTool System® The GLP RiskTool System® is a web-based application to help identify and reduce health and safety risk across the workplace and is provided exclusively to Chartis policyholders. Today, it is used by more than 10,000 Chartis customers. RiskTool was developed to provide customers with a comprehensive platform for managing environmental, healthcare, safety, property, and fleet risk management throughout the world. RiskTool is modeled on the concept of risk management workflow: What does a risk professional want or need to do? What does a risk professional want to know? How can their activities be stored, tracked, and maintained all in one easy-to-use solution?

The GLP RiskTool System interface organizes information and other common work tasks in a way that greatly simplifies the process — whether you are managing risk at one location or across a global enterprise. RiskTool features and functions include:
Assignment Management Enables authorized users to assign RiskTool provided material, modify existing RiskTool material to suit an organization’s needs, or upload materials to the system for use by professionals in your organization. When assigning items listed, a user has the option to assign one or multiple materials to a single person, group of people, or entire organization. Assignable items include:

Incident Management Provides organizations with the ability to file a claim, track First Report of Injury (FROI), create accident investigations, and manage corrective actions. For customers with incidents occurring within the United States, OSHA reports can also be generated.
Management Databases Provides a place for organizations to track chemical ingredients, chemical products, confined spaces, equipment, fire equipment, and vehicles. A template is provided to easily upload information into the appropriate database.

RiskTool connects you to health- and safety-risk guides and regulatory related information with the click of a mouse. The System’s comprehensive library contains hundreds of industry specific policies, safety programs, procedures, and training programs with over 40 training topics, many of them available in Spanish. All are interactively linked to regulatory standards and industry specific best practices and guidance materials.
Risk Guides Provide a general overview of subject matter topics. Guides include an overview, hazard identification, control methods, links to applicable regulatory standards, and supporting guidance and weblinks to other applicable government resources. Guides can be used as training materials, reference materials, toolbox talks, or safety committee meeting topics. Risk Library Provides a collection of over 10,000 international government and risk management hyperlinks. Information found in the Risk Library can help users find many resources, including subject matter expertise, regulation information, and guidance. Subject areas are organized by country for easy navigation and include: general health and safety, transportation, environmental, emergency management, and property management sections.
