DSP 300 Alignment Sensors

DSP 306 and 308 Options ■ Ride Height* Inspection Ride Height is electronically measured to one millimeter accuracy, instantly displayed, and compared to manufacturer’s specifications. Provides quick diagnosis for sagging springs. Part Number, 20-1371-1.

■ DSP 300 Adaptor Options Wheel Adaptor Extension, 20-1097-1 Extensions increase maximum wheel size that selfcentering adaptor will fit from 18 in. (457 mm) to 20 in. (508 mm). Self-Centering Adaptors are standard. Tire Clamp Adaptor, 20-1108-1 Grips tire tread and protects alloy wheel from damage. Ideal for wheels with no rim lip, tires equipped with flange guards or when space between tire and rim is limited.

■ DSP 300 Sensor Models

Ride Height Inspection results are color-coded. A completely green bar graph and green wheel indicates that measurements are within specification. A red bar graph and wheel indicate an out-ofspecification measurement.

For Hunter Computerized Wheel Alignment Systems

DSP 306 and 308 Sensors Standard Features ■ Rugged Construction Intensive integration of electronic components enhances reliability. Sensor cover is made out of the same “bullet proof” material used in F16 aircraft canopies. Impactprone areas further protected with integrated rubber bumpers.

■ “Fool-Proof” Locking Mechanism DSP 306 and 308 Sensors utilize a band brake to prevent movement after mounting and compensation. Locking knobs are located “out of harms way.”

■ Unprecedented Accuracy Provides alignment accuracy to one minute. Measures up to 210” wheelbase.

■ Calculates Toe-Out-On-Turns Without Additional Hardware*

DSP 308 Sensors Feature Continuous Toe Calibration ■ Cal-Check® Provides Continuous Toe Calibration Measurements DSP 308 Sensors include rear toe arms for total around-car calibration checking. Continuous check insures accurate toe calibration. An on-screen display alerts the technician if calibration is required.

Sensors can see front-to-rear, even on dual wheel vehicles, to calculate 20° toe-out-on-turns. No additional computer hardware or electronic turnplates are required.

■ Automatic Range Calibration*

CAL-CHECK ™

Utilizes twin emitters, eliminates need for prisms.

■ RangeFinder ®* RangeFinder calculates track width and wheelbase (up to 210”). Results are displayed on the CRT.

■ Level Reminder ® Standard on front DSP 306 Sensors and all four DSP 308 Sensors. On-screen display indicates if leveling is required.

Level Reminder ™®

■ Pro-Comp® Standard on 306 and 308 Sensors. Provides easy, precise runout compensation. Make one trip around the car, compensating each sensor as it is mounted. Pro-Comp™ Continuous compensation means that if the wheel then rotates, the sensor will continue to read accurate alignment angles.

DSP 306 and 308 Sensor Options ■ HFSS Cordless Sensors DSP 306 and 308 Alignment Sensors are available as easy-to-use cordless models, evolved from Hunter’s successful track record with cordless technology. A high frequency Spread Spectrum transmitter in each sensor sends data to a receiver on the console. The Spread Spectrum feature uses frequency hopping to minimize the potential for interference problems as the receiver and sensors are not locked on a certain frequency. With Hunter HFSS cordless sensors there are no cables to connect and the signal is virtually uninterruptible, even by solid objects. HFSS sensors support multiple channels, so up to four sets of HFSS sensors can operate in the same location. Low-cost lead acid batteries provide approximately 8 hours of continuous operation. The unique, patented docking station recharges sensors between jobs.

* Patented Feature ** Patent Pending

■ Suspension & Body Dimension Audit The patented Suspension & Body Dimension Audit (SBDA) option provides a quick screening to determine if the vehicle is alignable and identifies the need for body shop procedures. (SBDA requires Ride Height option and WinAlign® 3.0 or greater)
