FRANCE 2004 VIN DE PAYS D’OC

Clot de narraza VARIETIES

100% Grenache of Spanish origin (Aragon province). A vigorous vine that grows upright and is well suited to traditional goblet system of viticulture. It gives grapes with high alcohol and aromatic potential.

VINTAGE 2004

In overall terms, the 2004 vintage saw a return to normality compared with 2003, the year of the heat wave, producing grapes with a good concentration of phenolic compounds and a good balance between freshness and potential alcohol.

ANALYSIS TASTING NOTES Beautiful garnet red. Lots of freshness and intensity. The notes of fruit (such as blackcurrant) and menthol stand out admirably. The essence of concentration and softness. The superb concentration of the Grenache variety’s fruitiness (black cherries, blackcurrant…) is supported by the quality tannins and well-accomplished volume.

SUGGESTION Braised leg of rabbit seasoned with tarragon, creamy polenta with black olives, lamb brochettes à la provençale…
