For the first time, earth leakage protection is available in 18 mm and as a separate product. The Vigi modules can thus be associated with any circuit-breaker from the new i DPN range, thus offering maximum freedom in choice of solutions.
Circuit-breaker auxiliaries: new functions benefiting from the same ease of adaptation, contactors or impulse relays are directly associated with the i DPN 1P+N circuit-breaker by means of the factory-mounted connector. Clario thus multiplies the number of possible answers and gives the necessary freedom to propose varied solutions: Group Feeder, feeders, "si" protection, etc. with minimum cabling.
Mixing under the comb busbar: simple The comb busbars are systematically fitted with a neutral tooth between each phase tooth. The clever part on the protection devices is the recess that has been provided on the product for passage of the teeth that are not used on the comb busbar. Each control and monitoring product also has a recess at its top part, thus allowing association with the protection devices under the comb busbar.

A practical comb busbar It is cut using a saw, without needing to make 059061
marks or disassemble the copper parts. The copper parts are blocked in the comb busbar: notches placed between the copper and the plastic prevent movement and the comb teeth are always correctly positioned to ensure immediate installation in the device terminals.

Supply in just one gesture The "Group Feeder" RCD supplies the comb busbars directly: all the terminals are placed at the top. Cables are no longer used, thus ensuring far quicker installation.

A visibly well-made switchboard Once completed, the electrical switchboard reveals its careful design: maintenance work is easy, product identification is complete and always legible on the front face. For easy identification of functions on the switchboard, toggle colour varies: grey for control and monitoring devices and black for protection devices, suitably sized free spaces are reserved for labels, it is disassembled with the comb busbar installed.

Clario comb busbars Characteristics
The Clario comb busbars are at the heart of the Clario final distribution system.
The Clario comb busbars guarantee: reliable installation of all the "Clario compatible" switchgear: i DPN (1P+N and 3P+N), i TL, i CT, ID c, V, BP, CM, etc. with all the possible combinations. easy mounting of the comb busbars on the switchgear: tooth position is guaranteed opposite the device terminals by means of copper part indexing. The switchgear can be disassembled with the Clario comb busbar still installed. creation of attractive enclosures with a high quality finish.

The comb busbars are available in a number of lengths for 2 types of distribution: single-phase 1P+N distribution three-phase 3P+N distribution (3P+N and 1P+N feeders that can be combined under the same comb busbar).
Power supply The comb busbars are supplied: directly by all Group Feeder earth leakage protection device by cable directly in the device terminals: in the presence of a Clario comb busbar tooth, the capacity of the terminal only is preserved (max. cable: 16 mm2 semi-rigid or 10 mm2 flexible). by connector (max. cable horizontal incomer: 25 mm2 semi-rigid or 16 mm2 flexible.
Cutting The comb busbars are directly cut using a saw: cutting marks are moulded into the insulator the copper parts do not need to be disassembled dielectric strength (2500 V) is preserved after cutting 4 side-protection plates are delivered with each comb busbar to anticipate cutting.

Compatible with Clario, the range of add-on residual current modules for the i DPN circuit-breakers consists of: - Vigi i DPN modules for protection of "Feeders": the downstream connection terminals are located at the bottom of the device - Vigi DPN c modules for protection of the "Group Feeders": the downstream connection terminals are located at the top of the device for direct connection to Clario.

Nuisance tripping protection

Vertical discrimination To provide total vertical discrimination: the upstream devices must have selective or "delayed" tripping the downstream devices must have instantaneous tripping and a sensitivity less than l∆n/2 of the upstream device.

Vigi modules and residual current devices Characteristics
For earth leakage protection of feeders, a residual current device is built by associating a Vigi i DPN module with an i DPN circuit-breaker. A few "Feeder" residual current devices are also available in the single-piece version and are called i DPN Vigi.
The Vigi modules, to be associated or already associated with a circuit-breaker, incorporate in a single case the residual current relay and the toroid. The residual current release is electromechanical and operates without an auxiliary supply source. All the Vigi modules associable with the i DPN circuit-breakers are fitted with locating devices for ratings and number of poles preventing association with an unsuitable circuit-breaker: compliance with appendix G of standard EN 61009-1.

An homogeneous assembly complying with standards EN 61009-1 and EN 61009-2-1, a residual current device from the i DPN range preserves all the characteristics of the i DPN circuit-breaker alone: in particular, the circuit-breaker's thermal tripping threshold is preserved in the presence of the residual current module. All i DPN circuit-breakers associated with a Vigi module remain compatible with the indication and tripping auxiliaries. Operation on occurrence of an earth fault, the Vigi module causes automatic opening of the circuit-breaker with which it is associated. The fault is indicated by a red strip on the Vigi module resetting toggle. the residual current module is reset, according to the user's choice: either by the circuit-breaker toggle (in one operation) or separately from the circuit-breaker (in 2 operations).

ID c residual current circuit-breakers Characteristics
Adapted to the requirements of installations in tertiary and industrial buildings, the ID c residual current circuit-breakers provide: - earth leakage protection of final distribution circuits - disconnection.
Complying with the RCD standard IEC 61008 and with the switch standards IEC 60947-3, the residual current circuit-breaker also ensures disconnection of electrical circuits. The ID c residual current circuit-breakers incorporate in their case the residual current relay and the toroid. The residual current release is electromechanical and operates without an auxiliary supply source. The ID c residual current circuit-breakers equipped with the OF.S auxiliary accommodate the indication and tripping auxiliaries. Operation on occurrence of an earth fault, the residual current circuit-breaker uses the fault energy to trip. The fault is indicated on the front face by a mechanical indicator. the toggle is used for resetting.
