BENDING BRAKE

Because of my article entitled "4130 Steel Fittings" which appeared in the October, 1966 SPORT AVIATION, many requests were received for information concerning the metal brake mentioned in the article. This brake is shown in detail in the accompanying drawings, and does not require a great deal of machining to fabricate. It will handle the two most used thicknesses of 4130, .063 and .093. The .125 size of 4130

is so tough that I suggest using the

standard angle iron and vise method. ©
