RULES : The regatta will be governed by : the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing the prescriptions of the national authority which apply to foreign competitors are stated in the appendix “prescriptions”, the federal regulations. If there is a conflict between languages the French text will take precedence..

2. ADVERTISING According to ISAF Regulation 20 (Advertising Code), as modified by the advertising regulation of the FFVoile, boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.. 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 3.1. The regatta is open to all boats of the 5o5 class. 3.2. Each competitor shall give proof he is a member in good standing of the International 505 Class YachtAssociation. 3.3. Eligible crews may enter by completing the attached form and sending it together with the registration fee. Uncompleted entry forms (particularly payment missing) shall not disregarded. 3.4 Competitors (each crew member) having a FFVoile licence shall present during registration:  their valid FFVoile licence with medical stamp, or accompanied with a medical certificate (dated less than one year) certifying the absence of any medical objection to participate in sailing competition and a parental authorization for the minors,  if necessary a valid authorization to display advertising on boat  the measurement form or certificate of the boat 3.5 Foreign competitors (each crew member) without a FFVoile licence shall present during registration  a supporting document to justify their membership to an ISAF Member national authority.  the measurement form or certificate of the boat,  a proof to be insured with a valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1 500 000 Euros.  a medical certificate (in French or in English) dated less than one year, certifying the absence of any medical objection to participate in sailing competition and a parental authorization for the minors

4. ENTRY FEES Complete fees paid before July 1st: 100 €. Complete fees paid after July 1st: 150 €. These fees include invitation to the socials organised by the Club and the prizes. 6. MEASUREMENT Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate. Un-certified sails shall not be accepted. Random spot checks will be run on the water. 7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions will be given out on registration, July 9 and 10. 8. THE COURSES Triangle type. 9. SCORING Three races are required to be completed to constitute a series. 10. SUPPORT BOATS Supports boats shall register on the Race Office on arrival. There is no filling station on the venue. 11. RADIO COMMUNICATION Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. 12. PRIZES AND CHAMPIONS de FRANCE TITLES The French Champion, and Vice-champion and 3rd titles will be awarded to the three first crews. They will respectively be awarded a gold, silver and bronze medal. A special prize will be awarded to the first French crew.

A special prize will be awarded to the first mixed or female crew. A special prize will be awarded to the first crew with no crew member above the age of 26. 13. DECISION TO RACE The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. Consequently, accepting to participate in a race or to continue racing, the competitor disclaims the organizing authority of any liability for damage (material and/or personal injury). 14. RIGHTS TO USE NAME LIKENESS By participating in this event, competitors automatically grant to the organizing authority the right to make use, and show, at their discretion, any photography, audio and video recordings of them made during the "Championnat de France Promotion 5o5" in which the competitors take part, and to use without any compensation their image and/or name on all material in relation with the event. 15. FURTHER INFORMATION Accommodation: the area is very touristic. It is highly recommended to foresee your accommodation well in advance.

Appendix « Prescriptions of the Fédération Française de Voile » Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016 Applying to foreign competitors RRS 64.3 FFVoile Prescription (*): The jury may ask the parties to the protest, prior to checking procedures, a deposit covering the cost of checking arising from a protest concerning class rules. RRS 67 FFVoile Prescription (*): Any question about or request of damages arising from an incident involving a boat bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing or International Regulation to Prevent Collision at Sea depends on the appropriate courts and will not be dealt by the jury. RRS 70. 5 FFVoile Prescription (*): In such circumstances, the written approval of the Fédération Française de Voile shall be received before publishing the notice of race and shall be posted on the official notice board during the event. RRS 78 FFVoile Prescription (*): The boat’s owner or other person in charge shall, under his sole responsibility, make sure moreover that his boat comply with the equipment and security rules required by the laws, by-laws and regulations of the Administration. RRS 86.3 FFVoile Prescription (*): An organizing authority wishing to change a rule listed in RRS 86.1 in order to develop or test new rules shall first submit the changes to the FFVoile, in order to obtain its written approval and shall report the results to FFVoile after the event. Such authorization shall be mentioned in the notice of race and in the sailing instructions and shall be posted on the official notice board during the event. RRS 88 FFVoile Prescription (*): Prescriptions of the FFVoile shall be neither changed nor deleted in the notice of race and sailing instructions, except for events for which an international jury has been appointed. In such case, the prescriptions marked with an asterisk (*) shall be neither changed nor deleted in the notice of race and sailing instructions. (The official translation of the prescriptions, downloadable on the FFVoile website www.ffvoile.fr , shall be the only translation used to comply with RRS 90.2(b)). RRS 91 FFVoile Prescription (*): The appointment of an international jury meeting the requirements of Appendix N is subject to prior written approval of the Fédération Française de Voile. Such notice of approval shall be posted on the official notice board during the event.
