1.1 The Havas Media logo This is the Havas Media logo. The following pages explain in detail how the logo should be applied.

1.2 Colour variations The logo should usually appear in red on a white background.

Havas Media Red Pantone 186 (see section 3.3 for 4 colour reference)

Havas Media Black Use where colour reproduction is not possible

Sometimes the logo may have to be applied to a coloured or photographic background. It should only be applied in the following way: Coloured background • Always white out • Background should be Havas Media red unless impossible • Background must be dark enough for logo to stand out • Do not apply on light backgrounds • Never print red onto colour backgrounds Photographic background • Always white out • Background must be dark enough for logo to stand out • Do not apply on areas of photograph with detail • Never print red onto photographic backgrounds

1.3 Exclusion zone and minimum size

The dotted line around the logo is the exclusion zone. It is created by using the “H” from the logo as indicated in grey. This means the exclusion zone is always in proportion to the logo regardless of the size. No text or graphs should appear within the exclusion zone.

30 mm The minimum recommended size has been specified as 30 mm width to ensure the logo is always clear and legible.

Note: We allow a smaller version for use on group stationery only.

2.1 Havas Media logo for Havas Media companies The Havas Media logo must be applied to stationery, business cards and appear once in presentations (both Word and PowerPoint). Any additional usage is optional.

When applying the logo to stationery: • Always use the secondary colour Pantone 424 grey (see section 3.3).

The logo must be reproduced from the approved artwork. The layout and proportions should never be altered.

• Never use the main colour (Pantone 186 red) since it will conflict with the colour of the concerned agency’s logo.

As a rule, the logo should be applied on the right hand side of any stationery; the exact position will depend on the existing design.

If in doubt, consult the Havas Media Global Marketing team for specific approval (see section 5). See the following example for further guidance.

Note For companies within the Havas Media group, the Havas Media logo must be applied once to PowerPoint presentations. Further usage is optional. 3.2 Typefaces For all documents made and printed in the office (PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, fax, CD/DVD cases) Arial is the chosen corporate typeface. The font should be used in upper and lower case to improve legibility. The use of caps only is not recommended. For stationery and professionally printed documents, we have been using Frutiger in the past. From now on, Helvetica Neue will be the corporate typeface to be used on all stationery and quality printed materials (business cards, envelopes, letters, notecards, folders...). Existing templates will soon be updated with this typeface.

3.3 Colours There are two colour palettes:

The primary palette This comprises the main corporate colours. They are used on all applications.

Note The colour reference remains the same for Pantone coated and uncoated applications.

The secondary palette This colour palette has been created to be used as supporting colours within office templates and presentations (for charts, graphs). Never use them on the logo.
