Whether it is touched, rubbed, hit or blown, each object reveals its own personality, holds a dialogue or a soliloquy, shapes landscapes, and, moved within a circular space, it gives way to your imagination.

Inside the circle, a woman, a man, resonant objects. Basic materials, objects found on the spot, primitive instruments (bows, tubes...) moving around, rubbing against the walls and floors, discovering the sound of the place, with a multitude of intensities, densities and textures. Volumes of sounds create the shapes of an imaginary landscape, meeting and leaving each other, landing nearby and suddenly taking off. A living acoustic universe comes onto the scene. Around the circle, those who look and listen, hear and see, those who dream, smile and compose their own vision of this abstract microcosm. Every one sits in the front row, involved through their breathing, their slightest movements and their heartbeats. In the intimacy of the circle, sounds overflow into other senses and sensations. You can feel them through gentle touches or light breaths, and see them through the gestures that give rise to them. The circle promotes the circulation of energy and the feeling of conviviality, of being together instead of facing each other. Then everyone can feel this unlimited confidence in the unexpected that gives rise to spontaneous and free improvisation. The circle is a simple, nomadic and ancestral area of expression, which can be set up everywhere with no need for specific equipment. odbo offers a sensitive experience to everyone who is ready to listen, with either wide open or firmly closed eyes, and to let themselves go with their imagination.

Roland Devocelle and Audrey Rocher are the “actors” of this duo. He coming from music, she coming from acting and being a clown, their work is a combination of these two experiences of live performance, sound, dramatisation, relation to the audience or improvisation, and is also enriched by their interest in plastic arts. Since 2004, they have chosen a nomadic way of life, as a logical continuation of their artistic work. Always on the move, it is improvisation applied to daily life, meeting and listening to the world.
