UTLS-Client User Manuals V 1.5.0

1- Necessary System: UTLS-Client was developed in Net 1.1 CF. he works under WINDOWS 98/XP/2000 and CE.NET. Unfortunately the use of MICROSOFT API for the serial port management makes it unusable under LINUX (MONO).

2-Setup : UTLS-client is included in UTLS-SERVER packages and will be installed at the same time as this one on your PC (see UTLS-SERVER user guide). If you wish to install it on a PDA it is enough to create a directory on your PDA and to copy the following files in this one: – – –

UTLS-client.exe NewSerial.dll Utlscli.ini

The directory will rather have to be created under "MyDevice", then you can add a shortcut on the desk.

3-Use: UTLS-Client allows the connections NTRIP casters but also DIP servers (direct IP) for the reception of GPS corrections via internet. He is compatible with all casters in service at present (FKP, VRS, Single Bases) and all the types of corrections (RTCM 2.x, CMR). When launching UTLS-CLIENT the following view must be displayed

Before carrying out your first connection it is necessary for you to know the type of server to which you want to connect yourselves (NTRIP or DIP) as well as address IP and the port of connection. This information is obtained from your supplier of corrections. a- First DIP connection In the main windows, check the DIP box then click on connect.

The window will change not to more leave accesses but to information necessary to the establishment of this type of connections. In box “IP Adr.” to seize address IP and the port of connection to the server in the following way: Eg:

In this new dialog box, select the serial port and the baudrate of this one in agreement with your GPS. Nota : in the list of the serial ports you will find a port GPS1, this one was added for compatibility with certain models of GPS and only meets very seldom. Please contact me for further information ([email protected]). If the reception of the corrections is carried out the progression bar becomes animated and numbers it bytes sent on the serial connection is incremented. The button “Commands” : This button allows you to send remote commands to the server, if this one were configured to accept them (cf handbooks UTLS-SERVER) and consequently to reconfigure base GPS . E.g. change of the elevation mask on a base station. It should thus be used only with full knowledge of the facts and can be dangerous (stop of the station following a bad order).

b- connection in NTRIP mode. In addition to information addresses IP and port, it will be necessary this time for you to get a user name and the password given by your corrections supplier.

This one will enable you to input your approximate position. Attention this one is necessary to the establishment of connection on considerable casters. If connection is well established you must have a window of this kind:

Last small thing: the fact of leaving the program will close connection or then it is enough to click on “Closed”.
