Une communauté de langue Une communauté de pensée Une communauté d’action ! Voilà résumés, en quelques mots, le fondement et le moteur de l’Espace francophone. Pour la première fois dans une conférence internationale de lutte contre le sida, les acteurs francophones d’horizons divers ont décidé de se rassembler dans un même espace. Unis par la même langue, nous, le monde francophone, démontrons ainsi notre volonté de contribuer ensemble à la riposte mondiale contre le VIH/sida, riposte qui doit être engagée, efficace, respectueuse des personnes et de leurs différences.
>> UN LIEU DE PRÉSENTATION DE LA DIVERSITÉ DES RÉPONSES DU MONDE FRANCOPHONE FACE AU SIDA
Cet espace met en valeur la diversité des actions déployées dans le domaine de la lutte contre le VIH/sida par les acteurs francophones, tant sur les plans de la prévention, de l’information, de l’accès aux soins, du plaidoyer, de la recherche, du soutien aux personnes touchées, de la lutte contre les discriminations, etc.

L’Espace francophone se veut également être un lieu d’échanges et de rencontres d’idées. Dans ce cadre, plusieurs tables rondes seront organisées tout au long de la conférence (le matin à 11h15, l’après-midi à 15h), sur les thèmes : • Adolescents et VIH • Réduction des risques/PrEP • Place des personnes vivant avec le VIH dans la réponse à l’épidémie • Hommes ayant des relations homosexuelles/Africagay • Co-infection TB/hépatites. A community of language A community of thought A community of action! This sums up in a few words the foundation and driving force behind l’Espace francophone. For the first time in an international AIDS conference, French figures from multiple backgrounds have decided to join together in a single place. United by the same language, we, the French-speaking community, are thus demonstrating our desire to make a joint contribution to the global fight against HIV/AIDS, a fight that must be committed, effective and respectful of all people and their differences.

This special area promotes the diversity of the initiatives taken in the fight against HIV/AIDS by the French-speaking community: prevention, information, access to care, advocacy, research, support for those affected, fighting discrimination, etc.

L’Espace francophone also wants to be a place where ideas can be shared and discussed. Within this framework, several roundtables will be organized throughout the conference (mornings at 11:15 AM, afternoons at 3:00 PM), and will focus on various themes: • Teenagers and HIV • Risk reduction/PrEP • The role to be played by people living with HIV in responding to the epidemic • Men in homosexual relationships/Africagay • TB/Hepatitis co-infection.
