The Poptop Project

The Poptop Project Some time ago, I completed the project of adding a poptop to our GL. See the progression of the installation process as you go down the page. I also have an article in 2 parts that outlines how to do it yourself: Part 1 of 2 Part 2 of 2 Also, the van to which I added the poptop is currently for sale. See the for sale page for details. e-mail me with any questions.

Here are a few snapshots of the roof. The junkyard set the entire roof, as cut off the other van, on top of our van's Thule roofrack and luggage rack.

Hauling out the roof remainder off with Chris Turner's trailer made from the bed of a 1970 pickup truck. There's a combination you don't see every day.
