n designing the Jupiter Systems Lenel Integration Module (JLIM), Jupiter has combined its bestof-breed capabilities with Lenel’s OnGuard software, offering the ability to control and interact with the Jupiter display wall. Using the existing IP network infrastructure, the JLIM allows enterprise management of one or multiple Jupiter walls by any security professional on the network. The integration automates the entire process—from receiving an alarm to executing a specific event on the wall layout, creating a powerful, scalable and flexible visualization environment. State-of-the-art communications and integration middleware are employed, creating a seamless work environment for the security operator. This situational awareness yields improved productivity and a harmonious security center. Security operators can concentrate on managing their station, not on administrating separate platforms. Jupiter processors employ advanced video processing technology to support the simultaneous display of hundreds of videos on the wall concurrently. Taking advantage of multicast technology, the transmission of video has no latency from encoder to decoder. Once an alarm is received, JLIM will notify the Jupiter wall processor to subscribe to the multicast group and instantly display the relevant video stream.
