Rules of the competition.

The promoter of a tournament taking place under the FFAMAA's rules, makes a commitment to respect the contents and the next criteria: − − − −

A club affiliated to the FFAMAA organizer of a tournament own an insurance who will cover every competitors, affiliated or not. The tournament is opened at every martial artist, affiliated FFAMAA or not. Every no-competitor, who would like to use the mats to train must inform the judges at the competitor's check-in and show a valid medical certificate or a martial art licence valid. After that the judges will give them a free pass.

DIVISIONS: The promoter can chooce the type of the divisions in which the competitors are going to be in confrontation between: creative, rookie, musical, weapons, xtrem, team synchronized, battle, xtrem kick contest, grand champion. Each divisions will be splitted according to the age. The promoter can not changed that.

ORDER OF PASSAGE: (more than 3 competitors for a division) A draw will be done at the begining of each division. If a competitor doesn't show up for the draw, he will be excludes from the division. For each division, the competitor will only do one form. In case of an equality between the competitors (except for the creative division where another form will be asked) a battle will break the tie ( one trick, one acrobatic move and then one combo). COMPETITOR'S CLOTHES: Competitor will wear martial art uniform. A competitor may be barechested. Uniforms with different colors are allowed. Inscriptions on the uniform are allowed. If a competitor shows up on the competition's area with a uniform who's not in accordance with the rules, he will not be immediately disqualified. The competitor will have a minute to fix the problem. CRITERIA OF JUDGING: The upgrade is forbidden in all divisions. If one division has less than 3 competitors, the promoter has the right to merge it with another division. In case of fall or bad balance, the competitor will be penalized. The performances will be judged on the balance, technique, tonicity, power, attitude, speed, quality of the sections, tricks and combos, charisma and the synchronization with the song.

TECHNIQUES: Every move without a kick inside will be considered as an acrobatic move. For exemple: backtuck, back handspring, cartwheel, round off, aerial etc... Every acrobatic move with a kick inside will be considered as an acrobatic kick. For exemple: 540, 720, butterfly-twist kick, flash-kick etc.. COMPETITION AREA AND JUDGMENT: Area of the mats : 10M x 10M Every competitor has to bow in front of the judges, say his name and his team. The score starts from 7.0 points until 9.9 points. 5 judges at every divisions. In the event, the highest and the lowest score will be deleted for each competitors. AGE: The judges will take the age of the competitor into account for the registration. Youth 7 and under 8-10 years old 10-13 years old 14-17 years old 18-21 years old 22-26 years old 26 and older FORMS DIVISIONS: Creative Form: Free choregraphy, open hand, without music. The competitor is not allowed to execute any movements that involve more than a 360 degree spin, require the body to be inverted more than parallel to the floor or are similar to movements found in gymnastics. It will result in a downgrade by the judges or upon a unanimous vote of the judges, a « no score » as a form inappropriate for the division. Criteria of judging: Power, balance, martial attitude, charisma, emphasis will be placed on execution of the techniques. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Musical Form: Free choregraphy, with music. Criteria of judging: martial art choregraphy, balance, charisma, innovative choregraphy, synchronization with the music. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Xtrem Form: Criteria of judging: Free choregraphy, without music. No limits acrobatics move, no limits of tricks. Criteria of judging: Difficulty of the combos, charisma, innovattive move. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Weapons Form: Free choregraphy with weapons. With or without music. Free choregraphy, without music. No limits acrobatics move, no limits of tricks. The handling of the weapons is essential in this division. Criteria of judging: Handling of the weapons, martial art choregraphy, synchornization with the song, charisma, balance, power. If the competitor drop the weapon, he will be disqualified. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Team Synchronized Form: Free choregraphy with music. The aspect of « TEAM » of this division must be highlighted for at least 50 % during the form. Male - Female

WARNING ! It's a division for beginner for people who comes for the first time in a tournament. No age divisions. The form will be scored depends of the effort of the beginner. Free choregraphy with music. Criteria of judging: creativity,originality, power. This division is for beginners and beginners ONLY. Every competitor who will have an high level of tricks or acrobatic move will be disqualifed.

Grand Championship: It's an open division. No age, no sex disctinction. The competitor can compete with a musical form, creative form, Xtrem form, weapons forms. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Best Team Award: It is a classification of the teams having realized the best result during the competition. First place: 3 points Second place: 2 points Third place:1 point The promoter's team can not participate in this division.

The competitor must have read the rules and agree with it by his participation at the tournament. The competitor declares to be in possession of medical certificate. A parentale authorization is an obligation for someone under 18 years old. PS: With a medical certificate, every one is able to buy a FFAMAA licence directly at the tournament. There will be stall for that.
