• Allows you to import RED RAW (R3D) media from RED ONE, EPIC and SCARLET cameras • Allows you to modify RED RAW settings • Rocket decode acceleration if RED ROCKET is present and enabled in the REDcode preference panel

Requirements:

• Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer • FCP X 10.0.6 or newer • RED ROCKET installer 1.4.28 or newer if used

Install the plug-in

• Un-archive RED_Apple_Workflow_Installer_2_0.dmg • Run RED Apple Workflow Installer 2.0.mpkg installer package

The Revert To button may be used to return RED Raw Setings to original camera settings values or neutral values. • Original Camera Settings are in-camera metadata values contained in the clip • Neutral Values are the default FCP X settings

• FCP X supports working with RED RMD sidecar files in several ways • When editing a clip’s RED raw settings in FCP X, the clip’s RMD file will be updated concurrently • The location of the RMD file depends on how media was imported into FCP X

Via Copy

• If importing a clip via copy to the Final Cut events folder, any pre-existing RMD file will also be copied • If no pre-existing RMD file is present. FCP X will will create one in the Original Media folder

Via Reference

• If importing a clip via reference, the clip and any pre-existing RMD are symlinked into he original media folder • If no pre-existing RMD file is present. FCP X will will create one in the Original Media folder

If one or more RED Rockets are installed on your computer, the System Preferences panel allows you to specify which one to use. Choices for FCP X are first available, all available or a specific Rocket if more than one is available. Default is to use all available Rockets.

• Changes applied to a clip are actually made to the source file in the event browser and are cascaded to all clips linked to the file • If a RED Rocket acceleration board is present it will, per default, automatically be detected and used to accelerate R3D decoding. Please see the REDcode preference panel chapter for more information • When importing an HDRx clip only the A, or main track will be imported • For clips recorded with a Monochrome the Color Space, Kelvin, Tint, DRX, and Saturation are inactive. Rocket support for these clips is not available, so please disable it in the REDcode Preference Panel. • When importing if a multiple section of both R3D and QuickTime reference movies is made, or a parent RDC folder is selected, only the R3D file(s) will be imported
