My brother Pierre-Yves Robin and Ariane Lamy left France on October first 2005 for a 14 month trip around the world. They will be travelling with their Land Rover that was shipped to Buenos Aires on September 1st. Their trip will include five months in South America, one month in Indonesia, one month in India and 7 months driving back to France from there. They spent a year preparing their trip and especially the car as it will be their home. A tent is placed on the roof and can be unfolded as needed. The trip will be followed by many friends and family members and also by 5 schools through their website (http://apyworld.free.fr/). They will be answering questions that students (grade 5) may have. Pierre-Yves and Ariane have two spare seats in the Land Rover and Anne-Francoise and her mum are planning to spend a week in Peru in February with them!

To See the website in English... (As of November 1, they are at the tip of South America) 1. go to http://world.altavista.com/ 2. put http://apyworld.free.fr in the “Translate a Web page” box 3. select “French to English” in the “Select from and to languages” drop down box 4. Tamsen is on the New Sarum Public School cross-country team this year. The regional meet was going to be at Longwoods Conservation Area, but it was rescheduled because of a cougar sighting. So, they ran the meet on Wednesday, October 12 at Weldon Park in Arva. We counted 22 schools participating. Tamsen finished 11th in the novice girls race and will be competing on October 18 in the regional finals (the top 18 runners advance). She competed at an invitational meet at Parkside High School a couple weeks ago. Tamsen and her friends were thrilled to win the Team Award – the 5 New Sarum novice girls finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th (Tamsen), 5th and 7th. Don, Lenore, Jennifer and Meghan went to all of the races to cheer for Tamsen. Go Huskies!

Zack Moll Interviewed by Press By Sandra Moll Check out www.oakvilletoday.ca/ sports section where Zachary held his first media interview held as an athlete! He ran an amazing race at the Halton region cross-country meet. After coming first in the meet for all of the Oakville teams, he repeated his performance for this next (final) level. He came in first place out of over 220 boys and his team of 4 were first overall for their age group. Article Quote Oakville Today—OCTOBER , 20 2005 By Scott Stewart – Oakville Today “Not to be outdone, Zachary Moll took top spot in the Tyke Boys division. ‘It was kind of tough, tougher than the first race,’ he said. ‘I was second after the first 100 metres, and then I passed the leader. ‘It was pretty close at the end,’ he recalled. ‘I almost got caught at the end by a guy on my soccer team.’”.
