Having fun making toys for water is my daily task. The idea of a new board, kite and sail to test trying something new and see how it works it’s my excitement and passion. I started to do this 27 years ago, and the feeling of excitement and fun is still here, stonger than ever. Any time it’s windy or the swell is up and there is something new to work on and develop, it’s playtime and I forget that this is also my work. A great performance sail with the shape perfectly locked at 30% of the profile, and equipped with rod battens, allowing the sail to maintain a full, efficient profile even when sail is really flattened out! The Evolution sail features a diagonal stripe tensioner that helps the sail to twist starting from the middle/top part of the mast. A more progressive dynamic twist configuration that allows more speed and control potential. EASY RIDE 2009 “Light and easy”.

FEATURES

It features a special foot design that simplifies uphauling and reduces friction with the board deck. Relatively straight luff curve to minimize the effort in downhauling and rigging, the sail has minimal reinforcements, in order to keep the weight as low as possible. However it features long insignia tape stripes that reduce the possibility of breakage of the body. The perfect match for Easyride M and L and also for the 360 Evolution EVA version. The Easy Ride sails are also available in the DACRON version.

Developed specifically for beginners and schools,the Easyride sail is simple and light. Available in Monofilm/Tri Ply or Dacron body.

The T8 aluminum Evolution boom is made with a constant curve that fits perfectly all the Evolution sails, having a max shaping point at 30% from the luff. Covered with superthin grip on a reduced diameter of 29 mms and equipped with fast and durable front ends. The Evo boom guarantees the right angle for the Evolution sails. New Curve, new Grip and new tail and front end for 2009.

The T8 aluminium KidJoy boom is made with a wider front curve to fit the maximum shape forward for the kids’ sails. It has a straight curve in the back to maximize easy sheeting in and out and is made with an extra reduced diameter for Kids of 26.5 mms.

GLOBAL BAR 2009 “One bar for all 2009 kites”. The new GLOBAL bar is slightly wider compared to the 2008. This allows better turning speed on big size kites.

SAFETY LINE: The new 2 mms safety line has been improved by using a bigger and stronger elastic rope that does not overextend, creating a readyto-use, practical safety system to use in any critical condition.

BAR: The new GLOBAL bar is composed of 3 pieces: on the sides you have a carbon prepreg tube including the roll-up line horns built in one monocoque piece. The center piece is made with one aluminium block, polished on the inside to improve sliding ability of the de-power rope and become an ever lasting piece.

FLYING LINES: using a new color coded 25 mts flying lines with reinforced spectra material has allowed the GLOBAL bar to have the best of all packages available! FRONT LINES ADJUSTMENT: The only system in the industry that allows to re-trim the front lines from natural stretching. You know that after a few hours of kiting the front lines start to stretch, and in exceptional cases during heavy loads, the front lines can stretch up to 20 cms! The only way to re-trim you kite to the original proper trim is to shorten the front lines. The 4 knots above the de-power cleat allow you to re-adjust the length of the front lines up to 20cms. This is the only way to have a kite always perfectly trimmed!

SIDE ADJUSTMENTS: the side lines are pre-attached to the bar through short spectra ropes with 3 knots. You can trim the back line length to your desired size and the cover the knots with the new soft superlite side-floater. You can also adjust the bar width by changing the leader line attachment point. COLOR CODE: the blue on the right and red on the left is printed onto the new 3d logo EVA grip as well as on the leader lines, covered by a plastic tube to prevent abrasions. Safety meets functionality and look.

VELCRO FIXER: a velcro pocket behind the cleat allows to hold the exceeding de-power rope and prevents it from tangling around the side line while kiting.

SWIVEL CHICKEN LOOP: the long tested exclusive swivel chicken loop has been slightly improved, by extending it 2 cms. The new stopper ball has been improved with a bigger diameter. Alltogether a hardcore, functional, strong and reliable piece!

LONGER DE-POWER ROPE: The spectra rope has been extended of 10 cms comapred to last year, allowing complete de-power -abiility in case of emergency.

CLAM CLEAT PULLER: a new webbing puller with a big, easy to grab puller loop has been fixed onto the end of the 6 mms spectra rope, to improve easy trimming and releasing of the rope. When the trim is pulled all the way, the exceeding spectra rope can be fixed behind the cleat by a Velcro attachment, so that it stays in place without swinging around.

Global Bar

POWER LIMIT BALL: a new simple to use plastic ball with an inside friction system is applied to the spectra rope in order to lock the bar on a maximum depowerability area. In case of emergency is enough to push hard on the bar to let is slip on the end of the spectra de-power rope.
