Amendment 01 This amendment is being raised to distribute questions and answers. A)
Questions
Q1 In the Best Management Practices (BMP), it mentions numerous maintenance activities. Are they part of this contract? A1 The tender specifications outline the work covered under this contract (Section 01 11 1.2, Work Covered by Contract Documents). The work includes repaving the Lake Annette Trail (2.4 km) to a minimum width of 1.52 m (5 ft), inclusive of (i) trail sweeping prior to paving, (ii) supplying the asphalt tack coat material, equipment and placing of tack coat, and (iii) supplying the hot asphalt material, placing, finish grading and compaction of asphalt. The Scope of Work in the BMPs speaks to the broader Lake Annette Project, of which the trail paving is one component. Q2 Who does base widening, tree removal, bench placement, etc? A2 Any other work identified in accompanying documents is the responsibility of Parks Canada. The tender is specific to paving only, as addressed in Question 1. Q3 Is there going to be a minimum right of way width for the trail? A3 The minimum paved trail width is 1.52 m (5 ft) Q4 How many points of access are there to the trail from the roadway? A4 There are two points of access (parking lots) to the Lake Annette Trail. Map attached.
