Begin by identifying the materials which will be used for this modification.

Note: Fig A-C represents only half or one side to be made P/N: 050002-003. The kit includes materials for both left and right sides. A) Rare Earth Magnets.

B) MDS plastic stiffener(s) TMPL #02359 with double-sided tape. C) Black laminate foam sleeves.

D) Standard 7/8” – 1” wide packing tape. Note: We use this type of tape because of it non-tear, unidirectional fiber(s) properties. If packing tape is not available, other types may be used providing it has similar properties per Fig D.
Step 1
Place Rare Earth Magnets over top of internal magnets.

Step 2 Locate MDS plastic stiffener with double-sided tape.
Step 3
Peel backing off of double-sided tape.
Step 4
Carefully and firmly press MDS stiffener with adhesive side down over magnets. Leave adequate room on each end of the stiffener for play. Make sure that the tapered edge is pointed towards reserve pin cover flap, facing outward.

Step 5
Carefully slide magnets with stiffener off of yoke making sure they are stuck to the stiffener.
Step 6
Locate your 1” packing (or similar) tape.

Wrap tape one time around each magnet.

Slide stiffener with magnets into foam sleeve. Orient tapered corner towards unsewn, folded side of sleeve.
Step 9
Seal ends of sleeve with hot knife. NOTE: Press down with metal rule will help melt foam together.

Insert magnetic sleeve assembly. When you insert fingers into pocket, one can feel the opening, and 5/8” type 4. NOTE: Magnets face down.
Step 11
Repeat for opposite side. When magnetic sleeves are inserted into pockets they will automatically snap into place, and adjust as needed.
