How to define the Jetmobile SecureJet Reader generation? Please note that the following procedure and tools must be only used with the second generation readers. Jetmobile will decline all responsibility in the case of dammage due to the firmware upgrade on the reader of the first generation by using the procedure below.

How to check the loaded SJ PX Firmware version
Plug the SecureJet USB reader. The reader will beep and the LED will blink red 3 times. Open the JMTestApp.exe software. Then, follow the 4 steps below:
A. Check the “USB Connect” checkbox. The reader beeps once and the green LED is now ON. B. Select the command /IVA/ C. Click the Send Cmd button. D. The SecureJet reader Firmware version will be displayed in the Response field.

How to upgrade the SJ PX Firmware
Plug the SecureJet USB reader and open the JM_BL.exe software. The reader will beep and the LED will blink red 3 times. Open the JMTestApp.exe software. Then, follow the 4 steps below:
A. Select Jetmobile in the Product listbox. B. Click the USB Connect button. The reader beeps once and the green LED is now ON. C. Click the Load File button and select the appropriate Firmware files (*.hex). The LED becomes orange during the firmware upgrade. At the end of the process, the reader will beep and blink red 3 times - the new Firmware has been loaded.
