Honeywell Gold Flex® ballistic composite material Honeywell’s standard soft armor product combines Honeywell’s patented Shield technology with aramid fiber. Gold Flex® is a roll product consisting of four plies of unidirectional aramid fiber, crossplied at 0˚/90˚/0˚/90˚, and sandwiched in a thermoplastic film.
