For immediate release Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge finalists will compete on the provincial stage May 4, 2015 (MONCTON) Business and community leaders gathered at Resurgo Place in Moncton this morning to congratulate the finalists of this year’s Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC). Brian Gallant, Premier of New Brunswick and George LeBlanc, Mayor of Moncton, were on hand for the announcement along with the Youth Entrepreneurship Team. The finalists will compete at the YEC Gala being held at the Capitol Theatre on May 21. Finalists will present their projects throughout the day, with the awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. All are welcome to stop in at anytime throughout the day. “Each year I’m amazed by the strength and quality of the youth’s projects and, looking at these finalists, I can tell this year is no different,” said Sarah Short who is leading the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. “To our finalists, we are truly impressed with the work you’ve put into these projects and you should be very proud of what you’ve accomplished so far. We can’t wait to see your presentations at the gala on May 21.” This year, the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge celebrates its 10th year of encouraging young entrepreneurs in New Brunswick. It is the only fully bilingual, province-‐wide competition rewarding an entrepreneurial spirit in youth of all ages (K-‐35). The event is designed to recognize, reward and encourage young people who are creative and innovative and who demonstrate leadership in their communities.
