Financial Support to attend Commission I Symposium Paris – Marne-la-Vallée (3-6 July 2006) The Société Française de Photogrammétrie et de Télédétection (SFPT) is happy to announce that the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Directorate for Scientific Cooperation and Universities) has subsidized SFPT (4000€) to help foreigners from developing countries to attend the Marne-la-Vallée Symposium and to promote cooperation with France. Criteria for applicants: They should have already proposed an abstract by 5 February, or will propose one by 24 February at the latest; describe their motivation and the possibility to develop or enhance cooperation with France ( at research, technology or university level) justify the need to get additional funding to attend the Symposium promise to attend the Symposium and to present a paper or a poster. Rules and calendar: If you have not yet sent an abstract you should send one by February 24, according to the submission rules, to the Scientific Office of the Symposium.

The attached form should be sent to SFPT (by postal and electronic mail) by the 3rd March SFPT will reply from the 15th March The recipient will get a free registration to the Symposium (from 4 to 6 July, excluding any tutorial fees which will remain to the recipient charge) but will have to pay first his travel and hotel reservation. He will be (partly) refunded at the Symposium’s registration desk. The grant’s amount will depend mainly on the travel cost (based on lowest fare) For instance, maximum envisaged amounts are the following: - 600 € for North Africa - 700 € for South-East Asia - 1200 € for South America
