P8000

PRocRAMMER PRoDUcnoN

The model P8000 Production Programmer is designed to provide practical, convenient and reliable gang programming of EPROMs.The P8000 programs up to 8 theoretical minimum devices simultaneously in programmingtimes,copingwith devicessizesup to 16kx 8 bytes. For successfulvolume programming,reliabilityis the keyto success.Reliabilityand operatorconfidenceare assuredby the automatic power up test, constant power supply monitoring, reversed and misplaced insertion tests p e r f o r m e d d u r i n g a l l o p e r a t i n gm o d e s . T h e p r o g r a m m e r tests EPROMsfor proper insertioh,opens or shorts in data a n d a d d r e s s l i n e s a n d s u p p l y l i n e f a u l t s . C h e c k so n t h e socket for misplaced/reversedinsertion of devices are made.ZIFsupply linesare checkedfor propervoltagelevels. The menu driven displav and six key operationmeansthe P8000 is easy to use. The eight characteralphanumeric displaygives informationon the selectedmode and EPROM type and detailsof any faults or operatorerrors.Each zero insertionforce sockethas an LED indicatorto give passlTail informationon completionof a mode cycle. The P8000will program all24and 28 pin EPROMsup to 128k byte designs.lt also includesan RS232Cinput and RAM buffer for downloading data from a developmentsystemor microcomputer.
